- The Cathay Post #384 involvement in the San Francisco community has made the Post a community treasure. Some of the past events the Cathay Post #384 such as the San Francisco Mayoral Debate and the Re-dedication of the St. Mary's Square Plaque have united Chinese American community and Chinatown community and made them more involved.

- On March 7, 2007, The Cathay Post was invited to attend a private party hosted by the in welcoming several actors from the past and recent Star Wars movies

- On March 17, 2007, Cathay Post #384 organized a birthday party for Rose Chung, a Senior Administrator for the President of the Board of Supervisors in San Francisco, in the Imperial Restaurant. Throughout the party, contributions were made to benefit both the Miss Asia America Pageant and the Asian Parinatal Advocates where Rose serves as President.
